As our population grows, so does the need for local care from GP surgeries. To address this, we have been working closely with our local Clinical Commissioning Group, Chineham Surgery and The Clift Surgery in Bramley to ensure that appointments are available in the weekday evenings and during the weekends. This service is called ‘Improving Access’.
‘Improving Access’ is to be made available nationally from October 2018. However, we are one of three small groups of practices in the North Hampshire area that is testing the service, before making it more widely available. This allows for it to be developed and adapted, so that it is fit for purpose for the population of North Hampshire.
We now operate an extended hours service in conjunction with other local practices on a rota basis, so you can now book a routine appointment to see a GP or nurse on weekday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and on Saturday mornings from 9.00am to 11.00am.
To access these appointments you can either speak to a member of our reception team by popping into the practice or calling on 01256 762125 (Hook) 01252 842087 (HW) just as you would do with a regular day-time appointment. If available, you will be offered an appointment either at your own Surgery or at Chineham or The Clift Surgeries.
